HelpingMinds provide a suite of free school, community and professional education programs alongside the only free individual advocacy service for carers, family members and others who provide significant support to someone experiencing mental illness.
We believe that learning about mental illness comes from sharing real life experiences, leading to a greater awareness and better understanding of what it’s like to experience mental illness and the steps individuals, families and friends can take to help recovery.
Peer to peer support groups were the topic of discussion at yesterday's 'Alternatives to Suicide' forum. Here are the presenters, Lisa and Caroline. HelpingMinds and Consumers of Mental Health WA (CoMHWA) sponsored an afternoon session just for consumers and carers/family members. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences. It was a powerful day. ... See MoreSee Less
