Alternatives To Suicide WA – Steering Committee
We invite you to apply to join this Steering Committee in its collaborative work to introduce Alternatives to Suicide groups to WA.

1 x Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Community Representative
This unique group model offer peer support groups by and for people living with suicidal thoughts, and equivalent support by and for families, friends and loved ones.

What’s Involved?
Participation in regular monthly (2 hours), and occasional meetings of the Steering Committee.
Remuneration/Reimbursement/Benefits
Honorarium payment of $35 per hour for a minimum of three hours + pre-approved reimbursement expenses
Opportunity to take an active leadership role in advancing peer support in Western Australia by and for people at risk of and/ or bereaved by suicide, as part of a collaborative and supportive team.

Please read our accompanying documents and submit a letter (no more than 2 pages) outlining how you meet the Selection Criteria. Applicants can apply for more than one position where they meet the relevant criteria. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an informal interview with appointments subject to satisfactory reference checks.
