We Are Expanding into the Northern Territory

HelpingMinds® is excited to announce that we will be expanding our service delivery to include the Northern Territory. This is a result of our successful track record of delivering quality mental health services across Western Australia over our 42-year history. Our local consultation in Darwin has shown that our unique approach to mental health service delivery will be welcomed.

Debbie Childs, CEO of HelpingMinds® says it is an exciting time for the organisation. She said, “This represents our first office beyond WA, and is a pivotal time in our 42-year history. I am sure that our founders will be proud of how far we have come since our humble beginnings.”

HelpingMinds® started as The Association of Relatives and Friends of the Mentally Ill in 1976 as a volunteer group for carers of people with a mental illness. Since then, HelpingMinds® have grown significantly to provide an array of free services throughout Western Australia to both mental health carers and those affected by a mental health condition.
