We Are Expanding into the Northern Territory
HelpingMinds is excited to announce that we will be expanding our service delivery to include the Northern Territory. This is a result of our successful track record of delivering quality mental health services across Western Australia over our 42-year history. Our local consultation in Darwin has shown that our unique approach to mental health service delivery will be welcomed.
Debbie Childs, CEO of HelpingMinds says it is an exciting time for the organisation. She said, “This represents our first office beyond WA, and is a pivotal time in our 42-year history. I am sure that our founders will be proud of how far we have come since our humble beginnings.”
HelpingMinds started as The Association of Relatives and Friends of the Mentally Ill in 1976 as a volunteer group for carers of people with a mental illness. Since then, HelpingMinds have grown significantly to provide an array of free services throughout Western Australia to both mental health carers and those affected by a mental health condition.
