Join Jarred on Tuesdays and Wednesday afternoons for a series on online interactive activities, based on traditional indigenous games.
Kolap: Join in this fun traditional throwing game. Teams of one to two players throw objects, attempting to make them land on a target on the ground.
Gorri: Traditionally, a disc of rounded bark was rolled by one person and used as a target for the other players’ short spears. We will modify the game to make it fun and safe to play at home.
Juluhya: On your marks, get set, GO! Race your pebbles down a long tube of rolled up bark. First pebble to appears wins!
Diyari Koolchee: The aim of the game is to roll a ball (known as a koolchee) and rebound it off a wall in order to hit a skittle. A great way to test your aim!
Kalkadoon Kee-an: The aim of this fun game is to throw a ball into a small target as many times as possible. What number can you get to without missing?
