The IT Systems Officer (Documentation) will be responsible and accountable for defining and documenting system design and architecture of existing systems. This will enable business transformation of service delivery processes and database requirements, to achieve organisational objectives. The role supports the continued development of ICT systems within the business transformation process.
Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
· Document the network functional overview and associated diagrams;
· Create as-built documentation for all core and user ICT hardware;
· Document Database application modules, sub and function guides and produce associated process flow diagrams;
· Document SQL table diagrams and relationships etc;
· Document the Active Directory structures, groups and security policies;
· Understand and document VOIP routing, ring groups and call flows;
· Create owner and user documentation guides, FAQ and explanation Videos;
· Work with our third-party provider to ensure system backup management and recovery is robust, effective and fully documented; and
· Identify opportunities for improvements to the systems / database and actively work within the Business Team to achieve these.
What will you need to succeed:
This is an opportunity for an IT professional with a strong understanding of architectural models, database platforms, modern infrastructure and network topologies.
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will have demonstrated professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively engage and build rapport with key stakeholders.
The successful incumbent will have a tertiary qualification (to at least a diploma level) in a relevant business discipline and/or substantial demonstrated relevant experience in a similar role.
