Who we are
HelpingMinds is a highly-regarded mental health services organisation, providing quality services and support to more than 10,000 children, youth, adults and families affected by mental illness every year across WA. Due to recent growth, we have expanded our services to the Darwin area, for which we are recruiting for a Support Worker within our Individualised Services Team.
The team
The NDIS supports people with a life-long and significant disability through an individualised plan. Our Individualised Services team at HelpingMinds specialise in supporting people with psychosocial disability. The NDIS aims to provide people with choice and control over how, when and where those supports are provided.
Who we are looking for
The successful candidate will have relevant experience working in the area of mental health.
As a minimum, a tertiary qualification in Mental Health or Community Services will also be required.
You will have proven capacity to build rapport with clients from a diverse range of backgrounds with the ability to consult, engage and empower people to achieve their goals in a structured way.
Please note: this opportunity involves outreach work in the local community; therefore, a full Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle is needed. The successful candidate will be required to use their private motor vehicle for transporting participants, while delivering supports or services.

These roles will report directly to the Head of Individualised Services, who will regularly be in Darwin to support you face-to-face. You will also develop a strong network with your local colleagues, which is made up of Support workers, a Support Coordinator and a Clinical Lead.
You will also be provided with regular contact from your WA-based colleagues. To support your work, you will be provided with leading technology, along with a fantastic CBD office base.
