What is the WA Recovery College?
Our Recovery College is designed to educate and deliver courses that will provide an opportunity for personal recovery and building confidence, to allow people to return to full citizenship in the community through managing one’s own mental health, addictions and wellbeing. This will be a state-wide college, aiming to give everyone in WA the opportunity to use and benefit from the service. Recovery Colleges are a community resource, made by the community (co-produced and co-designed) for the community.
HelpingMinds has recently been awarded the contract to open Western Australia’s first state-wide funded Recovery College and are seeking a skilled project manager who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others to lead this project.
Working closely with the Executive Corporate Services and Chief Executive Officer, this role will lead the WA Recovery College project including the establishment and implementation of its services over a large geographical spread. Working with other agencies in the consortium to establish co-design workshops and to establish facilities requirements, the incumbent will need to be confident in establishing collaborative links and partnerships across the WA Recovery College, Community and other government and non-government agencies.
This full-time role will be based in Perth with an immediate start date and an anticipated contract end date of up to 6 months with the possibility of extenstion.
What you will need to succeed:
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to showcase their project management experience and to see a project from inception through to completion of the successfully established Recovery College.
With a degree-level qualification in Project Management, Business, Risk/Governance or similar, you will pride yourself on your experience in establishing new services with the ability to work autonomously while continuing to build strong relationships within the community and other agencies.
Additionally, you will have a commitment to the philosophy and principles of Recovery Colleges and bring creativity and innovation to the project particularly in the development of educational packages.
