- Remuneration: $42.20 to $48.85 per hour (depending on experience)

HelpingMinds® is a highly-regarded carer support and mental health services organisation, established over 45 years ago. Our compassionate team of staff throughout the metro and regional areas, provide quality services and support to more than 10,000 children, youth, adults and families affected by mental illness every year.
The position
We are seeking individuals with a strong passion and drive to engage and within the community to increase youth engagement, and coordinate our youth programs (including the School Holiday Program). The Youth Services Coordinator will also hold a counselling case load.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Oversee HelpingMinds Youth Programs, including coordination of the School Holiday Program (Facilitating Bookings, Registration, Intake and Resourcing)
- Provide a counselling service to identified HelpingMinds client cohort. Employ both a brief intervention model for working with clients as well as therapeutic interventions where appropriate for the support HelpingMinds offers;
- Establish and support the HelpingMinds youth reference group;
- Explore opportunities to collaborate on programs, activities and events with local schools and other youth-focused organisations to support the engagement of young people in HelpingMinds.

About You
You are able to work one evening shift per week (11:30am – 7:36pm), with all other days 8:30am to 4:36pm
Minimum qualifications:

- Tertiary Degree in Counselling, Psychology or Social Work
- Current Drivers License
- Proof of Australian Working Rights
Candidates will also either have or be willing to obtain the following:
- National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
- Working with Children Card
- Current First Aid Certificate
