Young Minds
Supporting the emotional well being of children & their families in regional WA is the ultimate goal of HelpingMinds through our YoungMinds Kimberley program.
Who
YoungMinds is a program to assist families living in the Kimberley.
The program is aimed at children 0–18 years, who are experiencing emotional difficulties in their lives or are at risk of developing mental health issues.
How
We help by allowing individuals to set and achieve their own goals within their family setting.
If a young person is no longer connected with their family, they can choose an adult to support them through this program.
What
We offer free, practical counselling and support for young people and families for up to 12 months, introducing coping skills and how to develop your individual strengths.
We can meet at a time and place that suits the young person and their family and provide free counselling.
We can coordinate and strengthen support with other community services.
