Referring someone to HelpingMinds® is a simple process. Referrals can be made by health professionals or individuals can make a self-referral.
Health Professionals specialising in mental health treatment can refer patients for support services or encourage them to join NDIS-approved programs as part of their recovery. Family and friends of individuals experiencing mental health conditions can also refer patients for mental health support services and programs.
Referrals for mental health support services are not limited to any age group. Individuals experiencing mental health conditions or Carers of people dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, PTSD, and other mental challenges are welcome to apply. All referrals are subject to assessment and verification based on the NDIS guidelines for mental health services.
To get started, simply fill out our referral form with as much health information as possible and a team member will be in touch with the person who is referred. If you have any questions about our referral process, get in touch with our friendly team.
We recognise the Carers and acknowledge the importance of their role which is why we want to provide the best support service to help them with their commitments.
HelpingMinds® is working with mental health services in the metropolitan area of Perth to enhance staff engagement with family and friends who are caring for a person with a mental health issue. The goal is to work with management and staff to improve engagement and to celebrate the best practices that can be replicated across other services.
Do you want to know if you are a Mental Health Carer? HelpingMinds can help you determine if you are a Carer and provide you with the necessary information on how to benefit from services available to carers in Australia.
To find out more about how we work with Carers, please download a copy of The Practical Guide the guide, or complete our e-learning modules, which you can get access to when you get in touch with us for more information.
People with a mental health condition who suffer from a psychosocial disability may qualify for an NDIS-funded treatment plan and support service carried out by HelpingMinds.
The NDIS or the National Disability Insurance Scheme funds the services and supports for people who are living with a mental illness that has a significant impact on their daily life, also known as a psychosocial disability.
