Via our partner SANE Australia, HelpingMinds® hosts and facilitates online forums for people affected by mental health challenges. These forums are monitored 24/7 which means you can access them anytime, anywhere, for support from a professional staff. Individuals with mental health challenges can connect with others experiencing the same condition and find comfort with them. Carers or family and friends of people with mental health conditions can get resources and advice from those with lived experiences and health professionals.
At HelpingMinds, our goal is to provide support not only for people suffering from mental health conditions but to the family and friends caring for them. Through these mental health online forums hosted by HelpingMinds and SANE Australia, we aim to provide a platform for everyone to come together, share experiences, find comfort and educate one another to make living with or being affected by a mental health condition, worthwhile.
The friends, family and carers Forum is a place to introduce yourself, read the stories of carers like you and share your own experience. You will learn coping strategies, self-care tips, goals and how to reach them and tips for celebration and motivation. This forum is all about supporting ourselves and each other when we look after a loved one suffering from mental health challenges.
The Lived Experience Forum has hundreds of discussions on the experience of complex mental health challenges. You can find information about struggles, not coping, having a rough time or challenges with diagnoses. Ask questions, ask for help, offer support, share your knowledge and experience.
Most of the time, people experiencing a mental health disorder would be glad to receive good advice from someone with a lived experience. Other times, all they need is a listening ear to help comfort them. Carers of people living with mental health conditions would also love to connect with people with the same experience. Through communication and social activities, Carers won’t feel isolated and instead have other people to confide with.
At HelpingMinds, our online forums for mental health include the following:
Rise above your Anxiety by steeping out of your comfort zone starting by connecting with people of the same experience. Join our online forum and connect with others for resources on how to manage your anxiety or how to care for a loved one with anxiety.
Join our online forum for people with bipolar disorder to connect with others and find out how you can live the best version of your life. Carers can also connect with others and share experiences on how to take care of someone with bipolar.
